Your Story Matters: Writing the Miracles of Everyday Faith

Journaling is not just writing your thoughts on paper. It’s not merely organizing your worries or capturing your dreams. Journaling is watching a miracle unfold right before your very eyes.
Scripture says, “Taste and see that the Lord is good” (Psalm 34:8). When you open your heart in writing, you are tasting and seeing His goodness. You are bearing witness to the ways His mercy is following you all the days of your life (Psalm 23:6).
Journaling is the love story of your life—written with God as the co-author. Just as we have the incredible book of God’s stories with His people—Abraham, Moses, David, Esther, Ruth, Paul—your journal becomes a living testimony of how He redeems and restores you.
Think about it:
Maybe your journaling feels like David’s hidden psalms—cries from a cave, begging God to rescue you.
Or perhaps it reflects Abraham’s trust on the mountain, asked to lay down what you love most only to discover God provides something greater.
Is your journaling Rahab’s story of redemption, Miriam’s song of deliverance, or Lazarus’s miracle story of being brought back to life?
Journaling isn’t just a neat trick to “capture thoughts” or “manage emotions.” It is the place where your miracle stories are recorded in real time. The place where you recognize God’s fingerprints on the ordinary and His presence in the impossible.
Walking With God’s Miracles
Recently in prayer, I asked God to let me walk with Him as He works miracles in my family’s life. I longed to see His hand moving right before my eyes. But in that quiet moment, I felt Him whisper back:
"You can walk with Me. But I also want you to see the miracles I’ve already walked you through—your own redemption story."
What a powerful reminder. My testimony is not separate from the stories of Scripture—it is a continuation of the same God writing His redemption through His people. Just as Abraham trusted on the mountain, as David cried out in the caves, as Rahab stepped out in faith, as Lazarus was raised to new life—so too has God written His miracle stories into my life.
And He is writing them into yours.
Your testimony is living proof of His goodness. When you journal, you aren’t just writing thoughts—you’re recording miracles. You’re capturing God’s faithfulness in real time, just like the authors of the Bible did.
Today’s Invitation
The next time you sit down with your journal, ask:
“Lord, what story are You writing in my circumstances?”
“Where is Your truth shaping my feelings and behaviors?”
“How are You inviting me to align with Your Word today?”
As you write, lay down your burdens. Find rest for your weary heart. Allow the Spirit to transform you by the renewing of your mind (Romans 12:2).
✨ Today, write down one miracle from your own redemption story. Big or small, it is holy. It is part of the greater story God is still unfolding.
"Let the redeemed of the Lord tell their story" (Psalm 107:2).
Remember—you are not just journaling for yourself. You are writing your God story. The Author of Life is weaving His grace into every page.
